If you'd like a relaxing weekend getaway on a mountain horse back safari, a day ride in the fresh mountain air, or just a couple of hours cantering and trotting and enjoying the scenery on open farmland and bush tracks, how about trying Rubicon Valley Horseriding.

Rubicon Valley Horseriding has been operating from the same address, Rubicon Rd. Thornton, Victoria for over 25 years, which means 25 years of experience providing our clients the best in friendly, helpful service, including providing the right horse to suit their riding needs, whether novice or experienced riders.

The "Blue Range" towering in the background, provides cool day ride or overnight safari country in the summer and the occasional snow ride in the winter.

This shed is original equipment dating back to last century and provides a real Aussie backdrop to the daily operations at the hitching rail. The verandah on the right behind the fellow with the video camera, has been built specially for clients to sit and enjoy the view with a complimentary cuppa and bikkies after their ride.

These folks are just about to head out on a 2 hour trail ride where they'll ride the rolling hills and trails and have plenty of chances for a canter on open farmland.

Rubicon Valley Horseriding has horses to suit all needs. This little girl is being led around by her mum on "Otto" while the older kids are out on a ride. As you can see, safety is an important issue, with helmets being available even for the little ones.

This friendly bloke "Apache" decided to have a sticky beak at what was going on in the shed while I was taking the photos.

Another bonus of riding this neighbourhood is the views of and from the mountains and the magnificent clear mountain streams.
